Discover how much you already know about English and teaching. Finish more
confident and a better communicator. Find out if TEFL is for you.
• Join the weekend course to find out what TEFL TESOL really is about and commit to further training when you are ready.
• Enjoy lively hours working in groups, developing communicative techniques that will be useful in many other situations as well as teaching.
• Re-discover how you learnt language as a child, and start to use mime, pictures, games and role plays to experience language in action.
• Learn grammar the same way you approach cooking: knowing what tools, what ingredients you use for which dishes and how to do it – so you can explain it to each other, or to anyone else.
• You will prepare and do two simple 10-minute teaching demonstrations, and finish feeling more confident, a better communicator, and quite elated.
• If you want to acquire a more comprehensive qualification, add on the 140 hour Distance Learning TEFL course. Then gain experience teaching foreign students by joining our TEFL Work Experience Week.
“I thought the weekend would involve sitting in a class, listening to theory and taking notes in a very diligent tweed-and-leather-elbow-patch kind of way. How wrong could I be? I had a truly fantastic time, everyone got into the spirit of things and the teaching was engaging and fun. I really think it was one of those life changing events you hear people talk about and I’m so glad I’ve experienced one as well.”

“I have found the course stimulating and sometimes challenging but also satisfying. It has opened doors to me and I now feel equipped to pursue my interest in teaching. The course has raised my awareness of the English language and heightened my curiosity about words, where they come from and how the language has developed. This course has opened up new possibilities. Thank You.”

At the end of a successful week, you receive a graded Teaching Practice Certificate. You also get a written assessment of your teaching to support your applications for TEFL work.
